• The Benton County Sheriff's Department holds regular Sheriff's Sales on county properties.
• Notices are published in the Benton Review on Wednesdays.
• All Sheriff Sales are at 10:00 A.M. on the stated date in the Benton County Sheriff’s Department.
• Legal descriptions are posted in the Benton Review Newspaper and posted at the North Entrance of the Benton County Courthouse.
• The Sheriffs' Department does not warrant the accuracy of the street address published on the Notice of Sheriff Sale.

Sheriff's Sale Procedures

• You must be present in order to bid on any property
• The Bank will start the bidding and verbal bidding will follow.
• Do not bid if you are unsure about the property.
• It is the bidder's responsibility to find out if tax are due.
• Property taxes are paid by the buyer in the Treasurers' Office after the sale.
• Bank certified checks (guaranteed funds) for the full amount of the bid are due in the Sheriffs' Office by 2:00 P.M. on the same day as the sale.
• Defendant(s) are supposed to be out by 10:00 A.M. on the day of the sale.
• If the defendant(s) are still in the property at the time of the sale, the buyer will need to file for an Order of Eviction in the court of said action.
